The lawsuit directly challenging Missouri's statewide ban has been moved to federal court instead of the state court. This case as Show Me Marriage defines, the second court case, was originally filed in Jackson County by the ACLU of Missouri. Two couples, earlier this year, were denied a marriage license in Jackson County, therefore, ACLU of Missouri filed a case. Attorney General Christopher Koster moved the case to the U.S. District Court, due to the 2004 constitutional ban against same-sex marriage. As of now, there is no date set for the hearing.
